Halloween: Zombie

So here's the zombie look I did!

 

Yes the eyes are photoshopped, I wanted him to have white contact lenses but since he wears corrective lenses he couldn't :( 

So for this look I firstly used liquid latex and tissue paper to create the cuts and rough skin texture. White face paint went over the top, then black, brown, yellow, purple and red eyeshadows on the skin to create bruises and a mottled effect. I darkened the eyes with eyeliner and black and brown eyeshadows, and used gel eyeliner to create the wrinkles around the forehead/nose area, and to underline where I was going to put blood. Then gel blood on the cuts and stippled onto the face in random areas. Very happy with this look, just wish we could have used contacts, they look so effective!

My plan for halloween is a scary movie marathon, I love a good horror movie!

Halloween: Skull

Happy Halloween guys! I know it's not technically Halloween yet but I celebrated this weekend with a night out with lots of makeup. I did a zombie look on a friend and on myself I did a skull/skeleton look. I didn't have much time to get it done and hadn't tried it out before this so there are things that I would change if I did it again but I was pretty happy with the results-

I initally used a white water based face paint I got from a costume shop but it didn't go on evenly so I had to improvise with random white products I had in my kit. Powdered that down with a very pale face powder then used MUA 3 in 1 Contour Pen to sketch out the basic design, then used Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Gel Liner Black to fill in and shade everything else.

Next up is the zombie look!

Shoot: Sally Rose

Long time no see! So this week I worked on a shoot in a gorgeous luxury hotel with photographer Sally Rose. I had two models to work with and lots of outfit changes and had hair to do too so it was a challenge (oh and a powercut half way through!) but it went well I think! Anyway here are some behind the scenes shots-

Had a great time and can't wait to see the pictures! Looks like I'll get some awesome shots for my portfolio :)

I don't know if it's the time of year or what but I am seemingly obsessed with rich plum, burgundy, oxblood, red whatever you want to call it shades at the moment!

I'm super busy at the moment trying to juggle photoshoots between work, it's not easy! But I'm determined to make it work!

Also, matched my lips to my nails today! (Also my toenails, hat and cardigan haha told you I was obsessed!)

Va Va Violet

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Va Va Violet, lined with MAC Kohl liner in Smolder.
A pretty hard colour to wear but it's gorgeous! Really creamy lipstick aswell, feels laaarvely on the lips.

Pleasing Plum

I'm loving the dark lips, nude eyes and dark brows look that I keep seeing everywhere at the moment, so that's exactly what I did in my last shoot, for a bold, defined look.

First I defined the brows with Sleek's Brow Kit in Dark, and went over with plenty of black eyeshadow to darken them even more. I left the eyelids bare, and just used black mascara to slightly define the eyes. To heavily contour the cheekbones and jawline, I used Sleek's Contour Kit in Light, without using the highlighter part, keeping the skin matte all over. Then I lined the lips with black gel liner, filled in slightly with Barry M's Lip Paint in Black, and used Maybelline's SuperStay 10HR Stain Gloss in Pleasing Plum over the top. And that was it! Really simple but strong look, just make sure that any redness in the face is covered so you have a very polished, clean look.
